Childhood Product Manufacturing in Asia

The Angeles Group® is a manufacturer of early-childhood products. When Angeles Corporation founder Claude Tindell began building and selling tricycles school to school from his station wagon back in 1958 he probably never dreamed his company would eventually do business on a worldwide scale.

But competing for more than a half-century later has meant managing his supply chain across the world – not just school to school – and ITI helped the folks at Missouri-based Angeles do just that.

The Angeles MyRider® Trike is now the company’s latest and largest line currently manufacturing in Asia. Angeles worked closely with ITI and the China factory to develop many of the mechanical components of the 18 different models in the MyRider line.

Our Client's Best Advocate

The specification process required some give and take says Angeles Corporation VP Merchandising and Product Development David Curry.  He and the factory in China initially had different ideas about how to best produce parts of the Denmark-designed line. Curry says ITI was his “guy on the ground,” serving as his advocate as decisions were made and differences were resolved. “ITI is extremely knowledgeable mechanics-wise,” says Curry.  This is one of the strengths he relies on to ensure his company gets the best possible product coming off the production line.

Today, when Curry opens a crate to inspect the parts that will be assembled into a new shipment of MyRiders, he has the assurance of top quality and personal service on which his company has stood strong for almost six decades.
